Who we are

CruiseBee is a price comparison website for cruise holidays. We help you find and compare deals from cruise suppliers. When you click through to a supplier, we may earn an affiliate commission at no extra cost to you.

What data we collect

We collect minimal data and do not require you to create an account.

Affiliate click logs

When you click a “View deal” link, we log the following before redirecting you to the supplier:

  • The offer and cruise you clicked on
  • Your approximate country (derived from your IP address by Cloudflare — we do not store your IP address)
  • Your device type (mobile or desktop, derived from your browser's user agent)
  • The page you were on when you clicked (referrer)
  • The date and time of the click

This data is used solely to measure which offers attract interest and to verify affiliate commissions with suppliers. It is never sold or shared with third parties beyond the supplier you are clicking through to.

Server logs

Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may retain standard server logs (IP addresses, request paths, timestamps) for security and abuse prevention. These are governed by Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

Cookies

We do not set any cookies. No tracking pixels, advertising cookies, or analytics scripts are loaded on this site.

Legal basis for processing (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area or UK, our legal basis for processing affiliate click data is legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) — specifically, measuring the performance of our affiliate links and verifying commissions. This processing is limited in scope, uses no persistent identifiers, and does not override your fundamental rights.

Data retention

Affiliate click logs are retained for 13 months to allow year-on-year comparison of affiliate performance, then deleted.

Your rights

Under GDPR and UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal data we hold about you. Because we do not collect names, emails, or account details, the only data we could hold about you is in click logs, identifiable only by approximate country and device type.
